We have a team to take care of everyday maintenance so that you have more time to spend doing the things you love. Whilst you can choose to cultivate your own garden space, you can also leave it to us to take care of the mowing, weeding, planting and pruning. We’ll also periodically clean the exterior of your villa and wash the windows. You’ll appreciate having fewer bills to manage too, as we handle the council , as well as building insurance. Your weekly fees cover the upkeep of the amenities so you can enjoy the pool and spa without having to worry about being the one to clean them!
One of the benefits of living in a retirement village is the reassurance you can feel knowing you have neighbours close by. For added safety, key areas of the village have security cameras and lighting in place, and doors in the common areas are also alarmed. There are gates that will be kept closed outside of hours. In the event of an emergency, Franklin Village’s villas are equipped with call buttons to connect you to support services should you require urgent assistance.
At Franklin Village you can choose whether to stay active, to have fun, to relax or to do it all thanks to our modern wellness centre and pool. If getting your daily dose of exercise in is a must, then work up a sweat at our state-of-the-art gym or hit the pool for a few laps. If it’s a bit of fun you’re after, then our pool is the perfect place to take the grandkids for a dip. Once done, you can unwind and relax in our soothing spa pool. You can also keep your aim sharp with a game of lawn bowls on our beautiful green. As part of your weekly fees, you’ll have access to a weekly Wellness Clinic to monitor your health.
The village has been designed for you to make the most of your independence. Your villa is a private oasis, and you can be involved in the community as much or as little as you like. To make life easier, your weekly fee includes a weekly light clean of your villa, with an option to pay for additional time if you’d like a regular deep clean. With an onsite pathway for Hospital and Dementia level care, you have the option to stay close to your friends, in a familiar environment, should you ever need these levels of care. Franklin Village residents have preferential entry into our Care Centre, subject to availability.

Megan has lived in the Franklin district for over 20 years. She has enjoyed a varied career, most recently working as a Practice Manager in a law firm. Prior to that, she was Chief of Staff to the Leader of the Opposition and once owned her own vineyard and brewery on Waiheke Island. Megan was drawn to the sector after spending 6 months looking after her own parents in their home. She loves working with the older generation, especially hearing about their fascinating lives and rich histories. In her role as Village & Sales Manager, Megan relishes the opportunity to utilise her exceptional organisational skills to simplify the process of preparing for this big move, and, at the same time, injecting a sense of fun along the way. Outside of work you’ll find her game fishing for marlin, out in the garden, cooking up a storm, or simply enjoying a good glass of wine.

Susan has a wealth of experience in Aged Care, having worked for Oceania and its predecessors for more than 2 decades. Starting as an administrator, Susan worked her way up to a regional position, overseeing the administration of 13 facilities, before later taking on the role of Business & Care Manager. At the heart of it Susan has a passion for helping people. She likes to be able to share her knowledge with residents and their families, going through what can be an overwhelming transition. It heartens her to see residents settled in their new home – toes tapping to music, or taking part in a lively game with new friends. Susan has called Pukekohe home for 40 years and it is where she and her husband raised their 3 children. She likes getting out and about in the local community, walking their dogs, and knitting.
